I was referred to John through a mutual friend. Initially, I was feeling a little cynical about hypnosis. I had previously seen a therapist for CBT which I found useful but it’s effects faded relatively quickly. After I completed therapy and the tools I had learned for stress and anxiety management had become hard to maintain. I have a friend who made a strong case for the differences between Hypnosis and CBT their aims.
The first session was odd, to say the least. I had never been able to relax as easily before. After discussing the aim and goal of solution based therapy and the “brain” side of it, it was time for the trance session. I had come in with a knot in my stomach and I left feeling recharged. I have tried meditation before and found I could never “quiet” my mind, I would end up frustrated. However, after the trance session, I felt like I had been given a boost of energy!
In line with my session, I used one of the therapy tracks provided by John to try this guided meditation myself. The idea was simple, at any point during the week where my stress levels are overloading; find 30 minutes peace and quiet and listen to the therapy track.
I spent 6 months as a client of John’s, and I couldn’t believe I’d be where I am today if you told me this on day one. I’ve still a long way to go but I now feel confident and certain on how to get there.
Its a little over a week since i had my hypnosis with John. I have to say, a tiny bit sceptical and a whole lot nervous. John instantly made me feel welcome and at ease and was so easy to talk to. John has an unbelievable amount of knowledge in his field. After the appointment I felt like…this can’t work. I don’t even feel like I’ve been hypnotised!!! Well 9 days later and still not a cigarette smoked. I’m stunned, amazed and hugely proud!! Not even a night in town having drinks with the girls didn’t even change that! Thank you so much John. I’m definitely finding the benefits of John’s hypnotherapy sessions. I started with relaxation and confidence building and really noticed a difference quickly. Understanding why and how the brain works makes such a difference. We’ll be concentrating on phobias over the next few weeks and am really excited to see the improvements

I’ve been a member of the ‘Helping Hands’ bootcamp group now for well over 12months and have really enjoyed my time spent here. Classes range from cardio workouts to strengthening classes, boxercise and hill running. I’ve just begun a detox programme also with John’s assistance and everything I need to know about the foods I eat and their nutritional values is all laid out clearly. There is also a vast array of recipes to choose from and John is always available online for that quick query. The professionalism and depth of experience that John brings to each and every physical class is evident in the fact that all participants have become fitter, stronger, healthier and in my case I have dropped my BMI considerably. I would recommend John’s class to anyone who wants to work hard, have a goal in mind and have loads of great fun and banter in the process.
After having twins 4 months ago I wanted to get back into a routine and find something for myself, a focus. As all new mums can testify sleep was still limited and I was resorting to sugar/ caffeine and snacks with no proper meals to keep me going. I was functioning but everything was suffering, I was exhausted, had bad skin, clothes didn’t fit. Basically felt rotten. Unable to commit to classes I found it hard, I was walking with the buggy but needed something more. Detox was the answer. By focusing on meals, been able to prepare in advance I was able to stay awake, have more energy for the day and actually sleep better. It’s not a diet- it’s a food education! Before starting John requested i analysis our life, the food i eat and how it affects my body. Armed with this information he provided a personalised plan I could work with. Instead of cutting out food or food groups John focuses on eating the right foods and proper meals. Meals that filled me up and snacks as well. Johns daily information posts helped focus mind and were full of useful information. He really made me think about food, where it comes from, processed etc. these bite size chunks really were eye opening Having someone on hand to ask questions and support you really helped me. John was able to offer encouragement and keep me on track. He even provided recipes based on personal needs I finally feel I have a better understanding of what detox really means. My energy levels are up, body feels better, I’ve lost weight and my mind is healthier too. I can’t praise John enough for the work he does. A true professional
Done it also for health reasons mainly skin and nrg problems and both changed for the better and I even lost weight even tho that was not my goal ha ha bloated stomach is disappearing,nrg focus both improved and get up easily in mornings now and no mid day naps all of this is huge as I’d always fall asleep and this is my busiest time of year so I’d normally be a wreck but not this time ,better sleep more nrg and more focus ,great info and group setting for this type of thing and recipes are easy and delicious thanks again
John is a true professional and very easy to work with, he has a way of making exercise fun and interesting. I feel I have a lot more energy & generally feel healthier since working with John, I cannot recommend him enough…….
I would highly recommend Johns’ classes for anyone interested in getting fit and losing weight in a fun and varied way.
